Raised in the urban culture of Caracas, Venezuela, Tao Garcia has been cultivating himself into a premier multimedia artist over the past decade.
After a successful run as an award-winning art director in the advertising industry, Tao decided to pursue more challenging goals and relocated to New York to try his hand at the film industry. For the last six years, he has served as Production Designer, Art Director, and Costume Designer on numerous projects, with a special emphasis on Sci-fi, Horror, Fantasy and Period pieces. His most recent credits include: J.T. Petty's "Blood Red Earth" released by Lionsgate Entertainment & Glass Eye Pix , international festival hit "The River of Copsa Mica", and the soon to be released feature film "Subhysteria". His work has been praised by Troy Adlers ( Art Director at "Lucas Films"), "Fangoria Magazine", "FEARnet.com", "Indigo TV", "RAI TV" (Italy) and "El Universal" newsp aper (Venezuela). |
